New watch ready to wear

I was fascinated by some videos of how amazing watches the guys built in tribute to Panerai until I decided that for those money they ask for the parts it was worth a try. All the parts together cost me exactly €85.10, and today when the postman brought the last missing part, specifically the ST3600 movement...

...I took some time and assembled the watch. I didn't know that when I'm removing the stem from the movement, the screw with which the stem is hold on place must not be unscrewed too much because the mechanism will fall apart. Fortunately, only one part came loose, which was easy to fix after a while of studying the Internet. The assembly didn't go completely smoothly, especially when I compare it with the watches I've built with parts from Switzerland, but in the end it turned out well. I think it's unbeatable for the money, even if I can't say in advance because I don't know how long that ST36 movement will last. The case, strap, dial and hands are perfect, I did not expect such quality, certainly not for the price, but Aliexpress has proven itself once again. The lume is simply outstanding, well, I mean as in most of the watches today but I didn't expect such a bright light.

Although the pictures are not very high quality and definitely do not capture the true beauty of this watch, I can only confirm that in reality they look very nice and flawless. I scratched the dial a little around the second hand, but I don't mind. I learned another thing when composing and that is not to underestimate even a small detail. So much for that and thanks for reading.

PS: if I can recommend, if you want to enjoy something nice building a watch like this will make many watch enthusiasts happy.

Cool project - hope to see more in the future!

Very nice. I've been thinking about trying one from DIY WC first. If that goes well then I would try to put one together from parts that I search out and buy.

Thanks Jesse, imo it's definitely worth it, all it takes is lots of patience but the result is amazing

Yeah, I like to do as much work on my firearms as I can. It makes me feel good that I am able to do what I need to keep them working right or to do some simple mods to them without having to pay a gunsmith to work on them.

It's an amazing hobby, so there's a high probability that I'll build some more watches for me in the future

Thanks Paul, that's the exact same thought I had so I built it. I have it all day on my wrist and even the strap seemed at first thought that will be uncomfortable but after few hours of wrist time I don't even feel the watch on. They amazing
