It's a nice sunny morning, 10th of May 2024 and everybody do it's daily morning routines. Suddenly the rising sun began to shadow. You have a look out through the window with disbelief that after all it gonna get cloudy perhaps rainy today. But it's much worse than one could imagine at that surprising shadowing of the sun. Very quickly everyone realizes that its an asteroid. As its getting closer release begins floating the body, asteroid is small, and it get much smaller every second it gets closer to earth. Almost dissappearing and everyone continues on the morning routines. What nobody realizes is that this small asteroid contains the Bolex virus. Nobody have even an idea what Bolex virus is. Nobody ever heard of that virus so why bother. Anyway, the day passes by as any other and we all waking up to 11th of May 2024 and continuing the same routines as yesterday. Morning news didn't say much except local changes and daily updates. First noticeable news comes from internet where Tissot market prices starts to drop, right next to Rolex, Pagani Design, Hamilton, and it just keeps coming in, soon enough there is news all over the world that all the watch brands have bankrupt and the reason is so far unknown. Team of investigators have been set all over the world with one aim only and that is to find out what's just happened with watch brands. It was a difficult week after week, month after month until October the 7th. Final conclusion has been made. Borex virus attacked the watch making companies and ate all of the watch dial colors. Soon enough when they have nothing left to feed themselves they started to attacking wrists on everybody, watch collectors, casual wearers simply everybody who ever owned a watch. Interestingly enough, the watch itself stayed untouched, only the color of the dials disappeared. By the 17th of December 2024 there is no watch with colorful dial. Only transparent dials. Because watch industry is the strongest industry ever wich have been proved many times in past, creative people started to research the Borex virus and quickly realized that they can make that virus to being dismissive to harmful to one color, but only one watch dial color. The big discussion started what one color to choose for all of the watches because they knew it takes exactly 10 years before that color kills all of the Borex virus. They couldn't decide, they been arguing one with other until they realized they gonna have to ask those whos matter the most. And that is right. They turned for answer to WatchCrunch. They knew that most sofisticated, most knowledgeable, most friendly and most importantly most watch professional people are here. So they post a poll with one question, what color to choose for all of the watches around the globe for next 10 years? Your answer in the comments matters so don't hesitate and comment which color is the best and nicest or your favorite and the color of most votes obviously wins. If you don't want to make a comment than I hope this post entertained you a bit and made your day brighter 😉

PS: I'm apologizing for a long post but I'm kind of bored before I have to go to work in approximately one hour 🤷‍♂😊

Personally I'd like Black dials to be immune to the "bollux virus", tho transparent dials would be pretty cool as there's very few decent skeletons about at affordable prices! 👍🏻

I can't lose all my colourful dials. This was terrifying.

I would say that this virus couldn't hurt meteorite dials. It would have to be something limited if the virus is going to last 10 years. For example if the virus could be killed by purple dials then all watch makers would only make purple dials. They would flood the market with them to kill the virus quicker. Then China would actually be doing everyone a favor for a change. Imagine all of the purple dials they could produce. Flooding the market would kill their stocks still too. A meteorite dial on the other hand isn't as common. It's a limited item. The virus came on one so let one kill it.

I submitted this argument to the HQ and the answer from them is that even a meteorite color is eatable by that virus and whatever color the WatchCrunch community chooses, that color will unfortunately be activated in the genes of the virus within a ten-year delay, but then it will destroy them all immediately, that is, on the given date suddenly the virus will vanish 😆
