CNSwatchbands aka CHEAPestnatostraps seems is trying to rob me

Hi, I'm having a long conflict with the "company" after I tried to buy five straps and got a duplicated the charge in my card. I had to reach the bank because they only recognized one charge.

Never got the straps and since I made a claim of the duplicated charge, that in their own words was the only they had, the cancelled the order and considered all refunded and settled. No I have claimed the first payment to my bank and the "commerce" is disputing it although they only acknowledged the second charge.

A total nonsense I know, but it's really taking me a lot of time. They will not answer any email I send them. Does anybody here have another email to contact other than the official they have and the old of cheapestnatostraps? Meanwhile my advice is to stay away from this company.

Grrrrrr.

I haven't had great experiences with them either, to be honest. Not to mention one of the leather bands stitching starting to become undone less than a week after I received it.

·

Yes. I did buy lots of straps, mainly some paratrooper ones and where alright. The leather ones was a hit of miss matter. But given the price is to be expected. But what I cannot stand is the disregard to customers, lies and wrong doing. They are being very "cheap" as people, pun intended. Thanks for commenting.

Could be that the error is somewhere along the way at the bank or card company? In that case they actually may have only gotten one payment and it looks as if you're trying to stiff them... very unfortunate. Best to cancel the order and charge back all money.

They only recognized one charge and seem that was the first one I claimed, the second movement in my account. So they cancelled the order and then I had to contact the bank again to get the other money back, the first payment CNSwatchbands said didn't exist. And now they are disputing that very payment they said they didn't have. So this is something I just can't really believe is happening. They are either liars or totally incompetent.

Ohhhh... so first it wasn't there and now that you took it back and it's a problem. Yeah that's not cool. I think they recently got hit with that trademark thing about NATO straps, so they should know how it feels.

Hope you get it sorted out 👍

Thanks. Yes, not very cool people. At all.

Never buy from anyone who advertises as being "cheap" or "cheapest"

yeah, lesson learned!

Hopefully they make it right. The straps they sell are cheap, but I didn't have expectations they would be on the same level as Crown and Buckle or Haveston TBH. I've usually ordered a crap ton of stuff all at once to take advantage of their bulk discounts and pick up some cheap graphic straps.

I'm still confused as to the order of things.

Were the purchases made over non-business banks days and/or a holiday? Sometimes charges take forever to fall off, they stay in pending charges forever until the card company or bank clears out all purchases.

I've not had a problem with them as of yet, and they have been shipping things halfway across the world.

But still agree it's frustrating when you can't get in touch with customer service. Especially one that wants to be well known in the enthusiast space. Unsatisfactory customer service is never wanted.

·

i had similar problems with a lost shipment and finally got a replacement. But the quality of their straps and of their customer support isn‘t worth it. I‘ll never order from them again.

·

They are fine for what they are but I get the feeling they have made a decision that handling refunds is not part of their business model. I enjoy buying from them when I need an odd size or want to try out a certain style for cheap, but two separate times when I have contacted them with an issue and requested they make it right, their response was basically, "Yeah, sorry, go away."

·

Same feeling, I've reached out to them a couple times with questions on their straps and got one word, non helpful answers 😔

·

I just placed my first order with them and got my shipment, no issues. I just checked to make sure there were no duplicate charges. It’s a shame you haven’t had a good experience with them. For the price, I thought the straps quality was pretty good. I’m sure durability will be an issue down the road, but they are basically disposable at $5 a strap. Hopefully they can make it right.

·

I'm not able to help with your email issue, but I share your frustration. Bought from them a couple times without issues, liked the straps, etc. Then one package never arrived, clearly lost by the shipper. CNS made me wait months before confirming that the package had been lost, then refused to refund me because the package -which again, they'd confirmed was lost - hadn't been returned to them.

·

To be honest ive ordered Straps there twice and both times had great experiences

·

Never had any issues, but it's true that their leather straps are bad.

The payment was on a working day and except some kind of glitch with their paywall it all seemed to be alright until I notice, a few days later, the two charges. And well, they only said they had one. But nope, seems finally they had the two payments all along and were either inept or scammers.

I have bought a lot from them and had mixed customer service but this behavior I cannot stand. I'm in charge of a customer support team where I work and I would not accept anything even remotely close to the way cnswatchbands is treating me.

Yes, and the problem of their support is when support is most needed. In my case it's a different story. I suspect they never sent the straps in the first place.

Didn't have many issues either, until now, and the result of the email conversation is totally nuts. I will make a video with a free giveaway of the straps I got from them.

Actually got around twenty or more, but with all kinds of results but the support has been from average to low. But the current situation is something I just cannot admit.

·

Interesting that someone yesterday was saying they loved their CNS straps.

I've never had any problem at all, across many years and many orders. I think it's a bit rich to have a one-off bad experience and then tell everyone to avoid the company. A bit over-the-top, to be frank. Your best course of action - as I'm sure you'd know - would be chasing this through your payment provider, rather than this forum although, I suspect, your reason for posting here is to slag the company off to other watch people. So I'm happy to counter that here and say I've always found them to be really quite good.

I have been for weeks trying to figure this out with them and they told me to go and figure it out with the bank and I did! And I'm still doing to this day! And now they are disputing a charge the told me several times they didn't have. I'm having to lose a lot of time back and forth and that behavior is unacceptable. Why don't they either answer any of my emails? I have to call out this weird mean spirited way of treating people. If you had great experiences well then good for you. I tried to solve this in all possible friendly ways but they refused to help me a bit and are contradicting and disputing with my bank a money they said they didn't have. You would be pissed too, believe that. I had other small issues with them and got sorted it out. But I cannot pass this and it is my right to make people aware of such a stupid situation solely caused by them. And thanks for letting us know your position. People will be able to make up their minds and more once I make the video exposing the proofs of this incompetent way of them do deal with things. And I have no respect for companies that act as cowards and refuse to dialogue with their clients. But true, nobody has to take my word. Just be aware.

To be honest, given the price, some are rather ok. Actually I got a lot from them but some natos are pretty bad and other leather ones would break in a couple of weeks, but they had some nice models. The problem here is with the alleged support when there is a problem with their paywall.

I have no doubt you're pissed off - I'm just saying that telling the entire forum to stay away from them just because YOU had a single bad experience is a massive overreach.

"I had a bad experience, so boycott these cowardly bastards!" = massive overreach.

"I had a bad experience, but they seem popular and your mileage may vary!" = balanced.

Again, I'm really happy with them and if people do a search on this forum, or any other watch groups they belong to, they'll find that a lot of people use CNS without issue.

Always two sides to every story, mate. I hope you get your issue with the bank resolved.
