I love this idea! Couple watch pairings with some of the books I’ve been reading recently:
Band of Brothers with a Laco Flieger Pro and Hamilton Khaki Field Auto:
Never Split the Difference (business negotiation book) with a Tudor 1926:
How to Build a Car (legendary F1 car design book) with a Tag Heuer Formula 1 auto:
Hodinkee Guide to Watches with Longines Legend Diver and Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze:
I agree with others here as well. I always try and tie a watch purchase to an event in my life. That way it has sentimental value to me, and I remember those memories every time I pick it up. Birthdays, promotions, significant others, all good reasons.
I also think your point is valid for being able to fall for that piece again and again. I didn’t know what that was until I got my Longines Legend Diver. Every time I picked it up, I wanted to wear it more. I also had sentimental value from the purchase, so for me that watch is never going anywhere
Thank you!! This is my first Tissot ever. Impressed with the quality for the price. The carbon feels awesome!! It’s smooth, and matte and looks awesome. Watch has a nice weight to it, strap is beyond comfortable, and I love the dial. While it looks pretty busy, there’s all space since it’s a larger size. Super happy with this pickup!
Weight is more than I expected it to be to be honest. I expected the Carbon case to be light, but this definitely still has some heft to it. It’s not overly too heavy or anything, but would say it’s a little heavier than a normal stainless steel case. It’s also pretty thick compared to my other pieces, so that could be a factor as well
