Have always been fascinated by functional and well designed things. I also enjoy the stories behind the things that men use from watches to bags to vehicles!
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I bought my first Hamilton Field watch when I graduated HS. It was a co-branded LL Bean from the 90s. I’ve recently serviced it and given it to my teenage son. This aspect of sharing a useful tool with my son that in turn has piqued his curiosity is what I love about collecting.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Learn and explore… you will make mistakes but enjoy the journey.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Lorier, Tudor, Seiko, Zodiac, Bulova
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I think the epitome of the type of watches I love/use/collect would be a 1989 - 2010 Explorer II with polar dial. I don’t think I would ever pay as much money as these are commanding now. However it would be the pinnacle of my collection.
