I'm looking for my next watch and am torn between an Omega Dynamic Chronograph and the Sinn 356 ๐ค...
To make it a "fair" race the Sinn would also be used and sport the 7750 movement and not the updated SW500...
Price wise, I'm looking at both at the same price.
Box papers and metal bracelets in both options.
Please chime in and give me your opinion... Or offer a 3rd option if you think I'm making a mistake with either of these.
Thanks!

the pushers on the omega... wow
As an omega fanboy.... it depends.
What gen Dynamic III is it? Show me the exact model. Also, this is a modular chrono, so it's really difficult to service, so it means that you need to send it to Omega to get it serviced, which means more $$$.

Dynamic chrono not the dynamic Geneve. Different decade and lineage. The chrono is a simple movement as seen in the Speedmaster automstics.

They remind me of the Heuer 1550 SG which is a plus in my book ๐
I was really expecting the Sinn to be the uglier watch. I can admit when I am wrong.

No no no, the pic you have attached is Dynamic III Chronograph Gen 2, with an "attached" or "stacked" chronograph on top of a three hands movement ETA caliber 2890-2 and is called Calibre 1138.
i would suggest the Sinn.
Dude... Hard choice.
Pricing is key. both watches are amazing. I paid like 1400 when I was in Japan (this march) for my Omega on eBay seems to go from 1600 to 2k depending on model. If want any pictures or video for the Omega hit me up on Private.

The dial versions don't matter to me as long as it's not the Targa Florio I'm good.
First and foremost always buy what you want and what gives you the best satisfaction and can have the best story for yourself with the purchase. That all being said, if my experience with collecting has taught me anything, itโs that value for money should be seriously considered. I feel that the Omega will have a greater mass appeal in the event you need to sell or trade and therefore, even though they are comparable in price, the omega still has more value.

Hey nice! Gen 1!
What about a Hanhart Flyback 417ES? You get a choice of panda o reverse panda plus size options 39mm and 42mm. You can get it on a bracelet or strap. And it is less expensive than the Sinn.

Also, since it has a stacked movement, crown and pushers won't line up. Also, for some reason, Omega omitted their signature lyre lugs.

In the price bracket I'm looking at there is not one of these available on the used market. Seeing how I'll be probably swinging and dropping a considerable chunk of cash down the year for a WW2 era Hanhart to complete my bund chrono collection a 417 would overlap that sagment. But a good idea, I love the panda!
Sinn is badass watch just donโt dig the chrono ones.

I second the Hanhart.
Of the two I would take the Omega because I like the design better and I really hate having a day date complication (though I wouldnโt say no to a 36mm gold DayDate ๐).
I picked up a Sinn for a friend and itโs a damn nice watch. Omegaโs are great and you wonโt be disappointed either way; however, Iโm a take-the-road-less-travelled sometimes. Iโd get the Sinn.
Wow! You just don't hear of the Omega Dynamic much nowadays, it's so underappreciated. I would go with the Omega. But since you mentioned a third option, I would choose a Speedmaster Reduced above all.
Omega

A good suggestion, I've had the silver dialed one and sold it as I have the Moon... Thinking about it I wouldn't go for the regular reduced I'd go for the Mk40 if I was to find one for a normal amount... Alas the budget constraint I've imposed on myself prohibits such adventures at the moment.
That Omega is fire!!! I've never got the hype associated with Sinn though.
I owned the Omega briefly years ago. I liked the yellow and the Arabic numerals less in person than I did in photos. I was surprised that it was an Omega because it generally felt loosely assembled. This may be due to being used hard by a previous owner, so I wonโt hold that against it.
My ~15 year old Sinn 256 shares the case with the 356. This one feels rock solid to me and the style is more classic. It also keeps +0.0 s/d and lived a good life of a few services and little wear before it got to me.
I would say go by the style first. Do the Omega if you like how it is aesthetically unique as long as the watch and movement have been cared for. For a good, classically styled chronograph to wear daily, I would go Sinn.

That Sinn is a beautiful piece. But it would be lost within my current lineup of lets call them neo vintage pieces... I have 11 lemania 5100 based chronographs the orange hands and the Teutonic design are almost starting to get a bit old in my box... But man do I dig it, unfortunately it's out of budget as of now, I've found one for sale and it's 50% more than allocated for this purchase.
I've never read that the omega is badly assembled or felt cheap, held one in hand and it felt like a hockey puck, even a bit too hefty for the size when in hand.
I should not have seen the 256 I'll have problems getting it out of my head now ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ... Appreciate the 1st hand input and opinion.

It's not Hype.. honest to God Sinn, Mรผhle, Damasko are some of the best bang for buck watches you can get... Combine that with the usual German no nonsense design and you get tool watches in a league of their own.
I went with Sinn. The Omega is yet another undervalued brand classic, but the Sinn is... a Sinn. I like the design details better than the Omega.
A all day!!!
I love the Sinn, but I this time have to choose Omega. For me it is odd looking but plays all the right strings.
That Omega is killer
Had similar question with Speedy Day Date. Anytime I compare Omega with Sinn 356 in the store the Flieger looks dull. Omega is just fun and sparkles, level above. Day Date has modified 7750, which runs currently +1 sec/day after 25 years (serviced 2 years ago). Sinn has now Selita movement.
