All Citizen movements are Miyota... Miyota is Citizen, in the same way Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII) is Seiko's movement maker.

Despite Miyota and Citizen having different names, it is no different than the relationship between Seiko Watches and SII. They are separate companies under the same corporate ownership.

Too visually busy and rather derivative design. Not my cup of tea.

To expensive for a very meh watch design. Nothing compelling with this model and design to make it collectable to me. But if others like it, very awesome.

·

Too expensive

·

Nice to look at, but priced out of my range...

·

Reminds me of AP Offshore. Too angular and brutish... and I am a fan of Citizen.

·

I would rather consider the alpina alpiner extreme at this price point (alpina belongs to citizen as well)

·

For the price the movement specs are not reasonable imho

Everyone is going to scream “Royal Oak knockoff!” I’m usually not the one to notice such similarities, but this one is too obvious, even for me. I’m also not one to rant about homages, I have no principled objection to them, so all power to those who like or want this. But l don't need it on my wrist. It’s too on the nose, it’s trying too hard. And I don’t get the thrill of the Royal Oak to begin with.

·

I would have to try it on but their series 8s are solid!

·

It's not bad, but uncompelling.

I mean, the movement is capable (I don't understand all those "movement underwhelming" comments; a $2k Swiss made watch would merely sport an ETA or equivalent, and Miyota 9 series can take on these comfortably). This being Citizen, I am sure it's well finished. So not bad.

But nothing special. At that price level, their EcoDrive watches offer so much more. That price also approaching King Seiko range, which offer a much more distinctive styling and better movements. Finally, Germany and and Switzerland also have multiple compelling options (competition of $1.5-$3k range is fierce).

Drop the date and a few bucks and I'm in.

·

I like the watch but not the price so I would wait a while and see if I could get one used.

·

Pass, prefer the older series 8 with interchangable strap.

·

Collect. The design has a strong voice. I believe they got the pricing all wrong so will look for it used
