When is Seiko going to release a Presage with 4Hz movement. I have watches with 4Hz at $500 price point. I have one that was $303. I will sacrifice 70 hours power reserve for a smoother sweeping second hand.

Too big, and too thick. Typical Seiko...

Ah! So that’s why my wife always calls my “Seiko-san!”

Edit: I know. Low hanging fruit. Very loooow hanging fruit. 😎

They look very nice indeed but at near 3 times the price of the similar aesthetic Citizen Tsuyosa I will pass at full retail.

·

It has a signed crown 👑 !

6R movement? 13mm thick 40mm diameter dress watch? Yikes. The dial is the only redeeming factor in my eyes, but not nearly enough to save it.

·

I like the design language, the date bothers me (especially on a dress). Like the buddy says, 40mm and 13mm for a dress, is a no go for me

·

Very nice watch, but too pricey for my taste, so no on this one.

·

Too much...for a Seiko. 😉

·

That date! Ruins it 😭

·

Waiting for a 37mm/11mm thick version.....

·

These are cool but 40mm for a dress watch is way too big imo.

That’s always been my main gripe with the presage collection and it’s still an issue.

·

The watch is amazing. The price isn’t. I usually wait and buy second hand

·

Too big, too thick, 6R movement, plain hour markers, lazy printed name... So many cons for that price point.

I think they’re not gonna do it, because if they do that it will put them spec wise, and price wise, to close to Grand Seiko and that’s not beneficial for both brands. Although, Saco already released a model with a spring drive Movement in it, in my opinion, that can make some grand Seiko customers really mad and it’s going to hurt them in the future.

Pass for sure. Seiko I would recommend as a first watch to someone for use in an office. Don't get in the habit of buying them to collect. They come out with cool stuff often but better to save your money and get something $2000 that way you can trade it or resell it when you get bored. Otherwise you are gonna end up with a collection 15 casios seikos and citizens that will be time consuming to sell on eBay for only $100-$200. Just my two cents

I’d pass on new at that RRP, but definitely be on the lookout on the secondary market. I’ve always been intrigued by the textured “Zen Garden” series, but hated the leaf style hands. The Alpha style on these are much better imho.

Secondary market for sure is the move or wait for it to drop in price
