I am an engineer and work with Cybersecurity Software. I have always liked watches and got my first Seiko Automatic 11 years ago. I love it, but nothing more came of it. Then about a year ago I bought a small watchbox to store my 3-5 different watches. And BANG it hit me, they looked so nice in that box and I started watching youtube videos about watches (never do that, it is dangerous) and I got hooked. Now I am an newbie watch collector of affordable watches.

Welcome Smitty, huge achievements like that requires celebrations. So a perfectly fine way to do it. A constant reminder of what you have accomplished and only the first step towards your endgoal.
