SOTC… all set for a while!

I’ve been accumulating watches for a few years and recently went through a substantial purge of my collection, selling 10+ watches in the past few months (nearly all of them impulse buys, watchbox-dwellers, etc.). I now feel very pleased with my collection, and each of my watches are pieces that I’m excited to own and wear. Aside from a new Traska Venturer GMT that I will be adding via the pre-order window that opens soon, I have no plans to expand the collection in the near future! We’ll see how long that lasts.

Needs a few more Loriers 😉 How do you like the Squale?

Nice Lorier sub-collection! I just got an Astra and I’m loving it.

Great looking collection! Very balanced and nice individual pieces 👌🏻

Well-balanced. 👌

What do you like better? The Islander Brookville, or the Traska Commuter? I'm thinking of a OP-style +date watch, when they release something in turquoise, purple or red. A Traska seems to be a clear winner, with the hardened surface, quick-adjust clasp, domed crystal, *thinness,* and general refinement.

But suddenly I'm having second thoughts about the domed crystal. I have an acryllic "box" on my Vostok and it's pretty exposed, I've banged it against stuff and it got ground in two cases a bit.

What gets the most wrist time?

I may have tipped my hand re: my favorite brand LOL. I love the Squale! Awesome watch

Overall it’s probably been the Lorier Falcon, especially in the last year or so

I’d say the Traska is the winner in terms of quality, and the boxed crystal shouldn’t take too much damage (ideally) given that it’s sapphire. The Islander is great too! And much more affordable

Such an awesome watch! I threw a jubilee bracelet on mine and really love the vintage vibes that come with that

We'll see. Both are relatively expensive (all watches are, we're just desensitised), so it'll come down to which one comes with "my" dial first.

Your first two rows (minus the CW) are totally up my alley. You have great taste!

·

Second box is better. 😎

·

Nice balanced although I would add Casio A168W to the collection

What would be a watch collection without some God Thier watches “G-Shock” 🤩

How are you liking the Astra? Right now, I'm sort of torn between that and the Traska Venturer (I realize they're very different)... would be the Hydra but just seems a little big.

I’m loving the Astra! Unbelievably comfortable and looks amazing, especially on the jubilee bracelet. I will say I thought the Hydra would have been too big but it’s actually awesome on me. Super comfortable with the fully articulating bracelet and smooth caseback too. I’d say the venturer, Astra, and Hydra are all pretty different aesthetically though

Amazing collection Aaron! The Jubilee in the LORIER looks beautiful! Is ROLEX’s Jubilee a perfect fit or is it an aftermarket bracelet?

Thank you! It’s an Uncle Straps jubilee made for the SARB033, but I used Lorier’s endlinks

Looks great on your wrist! I’m thinking of pre-ordering one, but I’ve heard that the rotor rattles audibly. What is your experience with that?

This is my first watch that doesn't have a swiss movement, so I was also worried about the rotor noise of the Miyota 9015. But I have to say, I don't really notice the rotor much at all on wrist. If I make a very sudden jerk and the watch is close to my ear I may hear something, but very faint. I've found it to be a non-issue honestly.
