One Rolex model to rule them all?

If I were going to buy one Rolex and one Rolex only, what do you think the best watch would be? This would cover me day-to-day at work (business casual but sometimes formal), life events like weddings and other things, swimming, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, traveling, and anything else! It would also be kind of important to me that the watch not be too attention-grabbing (I’d hope not to get mugged).

And yes, I know these polling options make no sense lol! I could only add 4 and wanted to capture the sporty rotating bezel vibe (option 1), the slightly dressier vibe (#2), and the more tool/sport oriented vibe (#3). I know that there is tremendous variation among all of these models.

It’s the submariner for me, though the Datejust with a fluted bezel will come a close second.

I gotta go with the Explorer. It is a truly versatile everyday watch with class but with a sporty edge for numerous environments

·

Probably the submariner. Only problem with the submariner is that it is so common (but for good reason). I think the timing bezel + date is realistically the most useful complication combination. I use these features literally every day. Gmt is nice conceptually, but in real life I just never use it. All this said, I wear a sky dweller.

My choice - Sky Dweller.Billions of Subs and its homages and copies made him a little bit boring.

·

What about the Daytona?!! Arguably Rolex’s best designed model! Might not be subtle but it’s a cracker of a watch

·

White Dial Explorer 2

·

I just like the OP. Red Grape for me. Just enjoy the simplicity 👌

·

ND Sub. Just wanted one for such a long time.

·

Sky Dweller and Milgauss 👍

·

GMT Master II.

·

Daytona, like Paul @TheHoroSexual said.

·

I’m going with Daytona.

·

No Rolex it's the best choice 😅

·

Submariner no date would get my vote.

·

Given your requirements, I’d go with an Explorer I. Checks all the boxes.

·

Nothing is a s class as the day-date

·

I only ever want one Rolex so I’ve thought about this a lot. I think for me the two-toned 36mm explorer would be it.

·

Any of the ones at the AD that say for display only

·

I voted "other"

If I could only own only one "do everything" Rolex it would be a Skydweller!

·

Subby for me been my favorite for like ever and I always say to myself if I had to go down to only one Watch it’s going to be my Sub 114060 without a doubt!!

I’d get the classiest model the day-date
