Hype aside (even if this model didn’t exist back in the day), I think a vintage inspired chrono like this would do really well in our modern watch world. Other brands have had success with vintage styled chronographs (as well as other types of watches). Obviously impossible to a true read on anything with that crown on the dial. I think anything Rolex nowadays = sales.
I tend to by cheaper watches when I find something fun and interesting but I tie all my big purchases to milestones. Makes me confident I’ll never sell any of those watches on a whim becuase they mean something to me everytime I wear them.
I wear the watch relatively frequently and if I’m wearing it, I use the chronograph function at least a couple times a day. I guess I’ll have to be more careful about letting my chronos run if I haven’t worn them in awhile.
