Now that the Mission is completed, What am I gonna do with it?
It is complete. The elusive Mission to Neptune was that last piece needed to complete the 11 x MoonSwatch Omega x Swatch Solar System. Got it on the Eve of Christmas and I was lucky. They had only two pieces in stock that morning and the other one was already sold.
Looking back, all the planets, dwarf planet, sun and moon were purchased from the local Swatch stores except for Mercury. Mission to Mercury was from the store in Barcelona.. Neptune was always out-of-stock everywhere, so much so, I even considered getting it from the scalpers or flippers. But no and thank goodness I had a little bit of patience left.
Anyway, now that the MoonSwatch collection is complete, the song “Now that we’ve found love by Third World https://open.spotify.com/track/23omPD1uUlkY4IMGDq4ioI?si=zR4geWA_ReuzzVDdRXElIw keeps playing in my head. I know it’s the hunt that makes collecting fun but just like the song, the question is “Now that we’ve found love, what are we gonna do with it?“
Help me in the comments below please. Sell it?, frame it?, wear it?, give it?....
I’m a watch-holic, a watch-addict and recently a watch-cruncher. I'm drawn to watches that have interesting back stories, unique or unusual design language and limited in numbers.
Firstly, impressive collection and patience at the end. I would have caved in and just got Neptune.
I think if you have the space to store them and financially it doesn't matter then keep them. Surely they will bring wearing enjoyment at the least.
However you decide good luck with the decision.

Frame them! That is the type of collection to admire in your home or work office nicely framed with their boxes and everything so you get that sense of sweet sweet satisfaction every time you take a look at them.

Keep going, buy the Moonswatch case and sell them as a set. On top of that, see if we can get all the Mission to Moonshine Gold variants and sell them as an additional set.
Might as well go the full monty.
Keep and sell as set in a few years or hand them down to kids, cousins etc.. how many were made , if its in the tens of thousands it may take 20 years or so for them to become more valuable as a set.
Sell the entire collection for a hefty profit and buy a real Speed master with the funds 🤣

Sit and wait for them all to disintegrate financially and physically? Surely Swatch must call time on this collection in 2024, new planet discoveries aside.
Get the Blancpain x Swatch range, or the really hard to get Moonswatch special editions.

I was in your same boat and completed all the Missions last month. Neptune was indeed the most difficult. Got super lucky when I walked into the store and the lady said ‘we have them all, which one would you like?’ If that eBay postin the comments is a legit case, I’d think about getting that or another case custom made for all the watches. I got a few of the special Mission to the Moonshine Gold editions too.
