Dangit. That settles it. I need one. I keep… WAFFLING on it (get it!? Because of the dial… I’ll show myself out), but after seeing all these, I think it’s time.

Sorry? (I’m not. 😂)

Yeah. That would go back for a full refund.

Absolutely!!! At 50% off, this watch is an absolute steal.

Yeah. I’m shocked at how good the tritum is!

Mark from Long Island Watch kinda shit on the tritium saying it wasn’t nearly as bright as traditional lume and did a comparison where the Marathon didn’t even show up. But that was after charging the other two watches and turning out the lights and letting the camera adjust for the initial brightness of the other two. In a real-world scenario, traditional lume isn’t that bright all night, and the Marathon easily beats my Seiko after even an hour or so.

Hahaha! At full retail, it’s a little overpriced, IMO, but I got lucky and snagged this one for around $400, which I think is much more reasonable. And it’s a strap monster so…

I honestly don’t even associate the brands. In my opinion, they’re two completely different watches. Or subsets of watches, rather.

The blue Milgauss from Rolex is just about the most interesting watch in their lineup until you get into Daytona territory, and even then, I think there are better looking chronographs out there.

Tudor, for me, feels a little more versatile, wearable, and unique. Maybe it’s because the Sub has been replicated and duplicated and referenced ad nauseam, and I wouldn’t turn one down if it came my way as a gift or at an incredible price, but Tudor just seems to have a more original design language throughout their catalog.

All my opinion, of course, and I could go buy just about any watch I want right now. Maybe not in cash, but Rolex as a brand doesn’t tick any boxes for me. It’s not a grail. It’s a luxury brand with some important horological history and I respect that, but my money would go to a Tudor and nice vacation afterwards over a Rolex.
