TO WHOMEVER CREATED THE BRACELET PIN & COLLAR SYSTEM...

I hate you with the heat of a thousand suns. Sizing up my first bracelet with pin and collar and it took far longer than would have ever anticipated. By the end I was wishing space herpes on all their descendants. But finally I finished without destroying the watch and bracelet. Those were created in the 9th circle of Hell.

I believe it.

I was resizing this last week and dropped a collar 3 times onto the carpet, it was like a flea acrobat in a flea circus! The distance it went was incredible, I was SO happy to find it, I imagine it was comparable to how Neil Amrstrong felt landing on the friken moon 😀

Totally agree...I have written about the same topic.

Pin and collar systems were devised by Satan! Anyone else agree with me? | WatchCrunch

Even worse than pin and collar is the dual mini pin and collar. Unless you have dainty feminine hands, forget about trying to get those tiny collars both back into the bracelet and then quickly pushing it together before one of the collars falls out and you start the Satanic process all over again.

I believe watch collectors who are evil have to work on dual mini pin and collar bracelets for all eternity.

I actually don't mind them. Pita to do, but more secure and look better than chunky screws - & we rarely need to alter bracelet length more than once... 🤔

·

People could hate-post about them every 15 minutes and I’ll agree-react to every single one.

And all the replacement collars are only available via Rolex AD waitlist.

I used to hate pin and collar and wished for all bracelets to use screws, then ma screw fell out of my bracelet 😂 LUCKILY it wasnt while being worn during the day. It was during a strap change. Pin and collar is to my understanding the most secure, so there seems to be a trade off. Its definitely the most daunting one to have to do yourself though.. i remember as a beginner with my first nice seiko that had pin and collar i had to watch like 4 videos on it and it took me a very long time

Resizing the bracelet on that King Seiko was my Vietnam. And I was in Vietnam...

·

Agree wholeheartedly!

When my three AliX watches on bracelets showed up with screw in links I thought "see Seiko?..it's not hard. Why do you hate us?"🥺

·

Spot on

·

Ah, they ain’t so bad…once you understand how they work, the proper order to assemble them, and find that sleeve you dropped in the floor. 😂

I've trashed my pin and collar bracelets over the years, except for one that fit right out of the box.

Luckily I don’t have many of these, but yes, condemned

·

Depends a little on the implementation, but I love those used by Seiko or Tissot. Easy to change, and very reliable once a pin is properly placed.

·

Well just yesterday I tried to change bracelet on my watch for the first time and boy oh boy it took me a while to do it correctly received 2 scratches as a gift too🥴

·

I truly don’t understand the problem. Be patient gents.
