This should be easy, but...

I've busted my ass all year and it looks like I am going to get a decent bonus. My budget is $500 to $3000. I'm going to try to keep it below 1K if I can, but if something amazing comes along, I may have to dig deep and go for it. 3 to 4k puts a small dent in my bonus but I'm sure my wife wants it as small as possible. If I underestimated, I'd consider a Bel Canto

I have a black Dune, and highly recommend the line to anyone. They are very will finished, the sunburst on the dial is present, without being overpowering, and the indexes/hands catch the light in a very pleasing way.

CW has impressed me time and time again.

I have 5... So I'm clearly a fanboy, but the Dune is the nicest watch from them I have yet owned. The C63 auto is my second favourite from them, they have really stepped up their game over the last couple of years.

I've just got the C63 36mm on bracelet. It is very comfortable and well made.

Hamilton Murph. Better looking than the others (IMO). Plus, it's a Hamilton.

Murph! Best Heritage & Design 🤙

I can back it up!

Congrats on the bonus and happy hunting 🤙

Cheers. I feel blessed. The option of a quarterly bonus would be welcome, but I won't complain. Getting a bonus is something I've only been offered within the last few years.

I'd agree. I love Hamilton for many reasons but that's a big one.

You'll get no argument from me.

Maybe an expensive and divisive choice, but I really like the Bel Canto.

·

I will say this. The mechanical movement of the Studio Underdog is surprisingly beautiful.

I love the Bel Canto, I haven't bought one because I fear I wouldn't wear it often enough to justify the expense. I don't tend to dress up much.

From $500 - $4000 budget 🤣😂🤣🤣

I'm cheap. I want to spend 4K, but the guilt! Low as I can get it.😀

It's actually kinda cool that someone talking about the Orion Hellcat. Haven't seen that part of a conversation in a while. It's a cook watch for sure.

I found them by accident. The constellation Orion is special to me, as it holds certain significance with loved ones in my past. When I first see it in the night sky in the fall, it reminds me of them.

Probably the safest option if you want to stay married 🤣😂

I'm in the doghouse all the time. I just don't want escalation. Lol

Totally understand that!

Or un-murdered, if that was a real word.

Of those, I would go with a Christopher Ward on a bracelet. If you wait for one of their sales, you could probably pick one up at a reasonable discount. And here’s a pro tip. CW will let you pick the currency you pay in, and the prices in GBP are generally much better than the USD prices (also, they deduct the 20 percent VAT when you supply a US address at checkout). If you have a credit card that doesn’t charge a fee for paying in a foreign currency, that would be the way to pay.

Everyone complains about the originals lack of AR undercoating. Is it that bad?

Not that bad at all

·

Since I own only one of those choices my answer was easy because I’ve actually made the choice. Murph 38, it’s a fantastic watch and looks great on different straps.

I think I only saw one vote for studio underd0g, but their watches are fun, plain and simple. If you want a foundational watch, then yeah murph or CW is fine. If you already have some standard watches then get something playful.

What kinda mood are you in?

That varies. I can't argue though, Underd0g is impressive. My only concern is that seagulls have a reputation for being hard to service. It's not the most expensive option, but $600 is a lot if it will be hard to service in the future.

That's looks beautiful from that rendering. I know there are more popular options but I would go for the Orion in the Mother of pearl Dial. Then it can truly represent the night sky.

Good thinking. I had thought about the burgundy dial but I think the MoP would be better.
