Thanks, I just checked it on Casio site vs Baby-G BDG-565 and the latter is smaller, yet still higher than fw-91, but I guess that might be hard to beat :)
But that's a killer price for that DW5600... Maybe I will grab one for myself.
Yup, I know. I'm not taking chances though. He wants to check time during his swimming lessons. I will teach him how to take off/take on when he gets his Seagull 1963 in few years time :)
For now, I'd love some alternatives to f91, might be slightly bigger, but please keep it sane.
I would go with Baltic, as I'm usually leaning towards vintage looks and Baltic has that appeal to me. Another factor would be not so great opinions about Yema's quality and post-sales service.
I have been watching Marc from Long Island for a long time and have a deep respect for the guy. From what I recall, he originally created Islander brand to bring back Seikos that people wanted, but Seiko did not comply. Later, he started playing around with his own designs, but they were still a mix of different Seikos. I do not bash the Islander, but between the two, Orient would be my choice.
Keep Orient, it can stand on its own, has in house movement, Islander is just a copycat or frankenstein of various Seikos. Disclaimer: I have owned Ray II and loved it. Orients are great value
From the pictures, I like the Alpinas, H. Moser is a class. Laurent Ferrier would be better with small seconds in colour more matching the green.
And that MB&F... I do not know what they were thinking.
