My watch collection so far!

Hello crunchers!

One year has past since I joined WatchCrunch, and cirka 9 months ago since I posted my watch collection thus far. So I though I’d upload an update of what’s in the box!

  • Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer 38mm

  • Seiko Prospex SPB213 140th Anniversary Edition 40,5mm

  • Citizen NB1060 JDM (on a NB1050 bracelet) 38mm

  • Orient Bambino 38mm

The watches I’ve sold:

Orient Maestro, Seiko 5 SNXS73, -77 Omega Constellation Quartz, Certina DS Action

My reasoning for selling the SNXS and the Certina DS Action was mostly that I was starting to think that they felt a little bit too small for my taste. The Citizen also became a replacement in the box for both the SNXS and the Orient Maestro.

The Bambino being a replacement for the Omega may seem like a downgrade, but I found the old 70’s quartz movement too unreliable. The battery only didn’t last very long since it needed an adapter for modern batterys to fit, and it most definitely needed an expensive service I wasn’t that keen on paying for.

Really happy with what I have, and am not thinking about selling any of these at the moment.

Possible new candidates in the future can be a Longines Dolcevita automatic on a black leather strap, a manual Khaki field on a green nato and maybe a smaller chronograph of some sort. But I really have no rush with that.

What do you think? Anything that you think is missing, or any other opinions?

Hope you’ve had a great holiday and that you have a happy new year!

I bought a NB1050 to get the bracelet, and sold it for a small loss on a Hirsch strap

well played 😅

I love that orient Bambino 38! The gold is 🔥…I have the 40 mm version 4, which I love, but I think the 38 is the seeet spot. I just completed my first year as well! I just recieved the Tissot “chemin de tourelle” 39mm which would be a good addition…also the PRX 40mm on strap, blue dial…which I love. Citizen “Tsousa” is also a great addition. I think your collection is perfect so far..I think I bought too many? 45 watches, but I also bought a few G shocks, and Casio digitals. This year I am going to curate my collection, and go for higher pieces. I think I will get that bambino 38 in gold though.

That Citizen hurts my eyes it is so nice.

All are very solid choices 👀

I really love that Orient Bambino! I am after the same one, because it looks soo good and classic! Interesting that you let go of the Certina DS action diver because it feels to small, it was the 38MM version I assume? I just orderd that as my first real (automatic) Swiss watch! The looks and feel when trying it on at an AD were fantastic! Eyeing on a replacement of this diver in your overall outstanding and well-rounded collection?

Thanks! I like my dress watches on the smaller side, but the 40mm is also great!

Congrats on the chemin, that one wears like a charm! (wears similar to a 38mm even - do you really need another Bambino? (; )

That Hamilton looks crisp, also have had my eye on the golden Orient for quite some time.

Thank you! Yeah, I think the Bambino is a good pick for a vintage inspired dress watch, very nice in stainless also!

Congrats on the DS Action! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had it for half a year and liked it a lot. But it has gotten the least wear time lately and it’s hard to argue against that.

The Seiko SPB is my direct replacement for the Certina, even though it’s less of a traditional dive watch since it has a bright dial.

How does that bracelet fit the citizen? Did you purchase it separately or did you canivalize another citizen to get the bracelet?

@werozen canibalized! Fits as it should, the NB1050 has the same case.
