I always liked them as a kid and have as far as I can remember always worn a watch every day since I was about 9 or 10. I can't remember what sparked my interest off :(
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It would have been either a Casio calculator watch or some sort of Timex.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not really, just to me personally. I have a watch that I misplaced during a move, but it is somewhere (I hope). It was given to my dad for his 21st in 1951, it is a Roamer, not a particularly special brand, but I would love to find this and have the movement restored.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
This is hard. Save for higher end watches and limit the accumulation of lots of cheap watches instead of a limited number of very good ones. I don't follow my own advice, it's an addiction.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, The Citizen, Doxa, Damasko.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
This is too hard to answer, an H. Moser, F.P. Journe, Laurent Ferrier, Artisan de Geneve modified Submariner... Many others I can't think of, it is too hard for me to say :(
