Big watch big choice…

First post here! Happy to have discover this place to share my problems 😜
I’m in the market for a big iconic watch. I really like the look of the new Ploprof 75th anniversary and the new Panarei Radiomir California.
Didn’t have the chance to try them yet (they are not easy to find where I am… and I think not easy to find in general).
Which would you choose and why ?
Of the 2, which do you think wear bigger ?
Both having a lug to lug of 45 or so, I figure it can work with my 7’ wrist…and I don’t mind the size (I have all kind of sizes in my collection).

Thanks ! I do love them. I consider the Panarei mainly because of it.
I like California dials. I still would take the Omega though. First off I don't like when people call a Panerai a PAM. That's my ex wife's name. It's annoying. 😂 The Ploprof is Iconic. I got a Citizen Aqualand Pro Master to have that look.
I don't fancy either so can't help there. My advise is to try them first before deciding. Maybe you would end up having them both
I'm way more a Panerai fan over Omega, and this is a tough tough call... The Ploprof is one of the best things Omega makes ... That green Radiomir is sick too, I had a ceramic Radiomir 2 hand and it was so cool, plus the Radiomir you can wear every day, Ploprof is a little much for every day wear...
Probably best to just get both
I go California Dial on this one. More versatile watch.
The Ploprof is clearly a better watch and definitely a conversation starter. But I don’t see it getting as much use. Maybe I’m wrong. Don’t know much about your collection but I don’t see many Ploprof multi time a week users
I see Panerais regularly, but never see anyone wearing the Proplof. Go with the funkier, but honestly, try to find a spot to try them both on.
While the Radiomir is cool it’s not even remotely as cool as the ploprof and not just because of the blue color.
Ploprof is guaranteed to be a conversation starter and it’s quite unique. If you wanted a California dial cushion case watch, you could get one of the micro brands and scratch that itch but you could never ever get something like the ploprof except for the ploprof.

Had the ploprof in steel few years ago and it was top heavy really... So I ended up selling it.
Haven't tried the lighter edition yet, assuming that it's much lighter than the previous editions, you should be fine.
My wrist is 7,25 and the size was fine.
Panerai isn't doing anything to me...
When my collection was much smaller, this was my daily for years, so I’m biased.
155 votes so far and its 50/50😄. This is one of those where it just comes down to personal taste. Personally I would go Panerai!!

I would go for the ploprof because I don't like the marketing strategy of Panerai which is dishonest. Their are not a lot of sources about that but basicaly their background was very exagerated when LVMH decided to revive the brand.
I really like both and you can’t go wrong with either.
It really just depends on what’s already in your collection.
Based off only aesthetics I’d probably pick the Panerai

Have one my self ! A gift from a member of the family. Has been through 3000+ dive ! (Owner was a professional diver). Battery is dead, I need to find someone to service it.

That's a nice one. If you don't know and so you aren't surprised, it takes 3 batteries. It takes 371s.
Proplof is super cool, definitely my vote. Whatever you do, enjoy!
