Have one my self ! A gift from a member of the family. Has been through 3000+ dive ! (Owner was a professional diver). Battery is dead, I need to find someone to service it.
The movement is designed for the battery to be super easy to replace (it’s separated from the movement). Any watch maker or ad can do it. If it’s just to change the battery, don’t send it to a GS center (do it only to check the movement).
For me 143 because of the grey dial. It defines this watch (62MAS). Black is cool too but for me a part of the identity is lost !
But no wrong choice ! I prefer the date placement of the new ones.
As for the bracelet I don’t like it on the 143 and won’t like the new one either. Those skin diver cases are meant to live on a rubber tropic or nato.
