What would be the perfect 3rd watch?

Im trying on my friends BB58 - as im planning on getting myself a BB54. My Santos works as my daily business/casual/dressy watch. The BB54 would be my do everything/weekend watch. But both of them would work as everyday watches, as they can both take a beating, work with both dressy and casual outfits and have good WR.

So the big question is… what type of watch or complication would round off my perfect 3 watch collection? Comment down below!🙌🏽

I think that 58 fits perfectly. 54 may be on the small side? I'm not a huge fan of chronographs so a GMT would be my choice.

Casio beater

Thanks for the comment! Yeah the 58 is lovely…Im yet to try the 54 on, so lets see 😊Maybe a «beater» GMT to travel with is a good choice…🤔

I would look at Tissot PRX/Tsyosa/CW 12. Alternatively a pilot or field watch like Tudor Ranger.

True… I have the f91w though… which I only consider as a «gadget» for when I do workouts

Field watch might be a good option for me as I like hiking and stuff!

I have a BB Pro which I'm very happy with but I'd go for the Opaline dial GMT if you get a black 58/54

I think the tudor GMTs are slightly too big/chunky for my wrist, but they look awesome!

I don’t know if I’d keep both the 58 and the 54?!… and would probably add something colorful?

·

The options are endless imo. A dedicated dresswatch (vintage?), a Chronograph, G-Shock……Depends on your lifestyle and what you enjoy.

·

I saw you already have a Casio and if you're not into them, then maybe a chronograph. Or a nice quartz/solar powered watch.

·

Either a chronograph or a g shock

Well it's gotta be a Speedmaster to complete the trio of icons . 🚀👍🏻

A chrono would fit nicely. A sunday watch timing stuff🤓

Notice quite a few members adding moonphase watches lately, long time personal favourite. A moonphase?

Ive been considering a moonphase, but the ones im attracted too are EXPENCIVE😅

·

Since you like the gada type watches which can be dressed up or down, I’d recommend a Rolex OP in 36mm. Any colour you like really they are great watches.

Yeah maybe…:)

Isn’t that a regular black bay on the picture? The 58 usually has gilt colored numerals on the bezel.

Maybe its easier to see here

I keep thinking nomos to freshen things up or a nice sleek tag carrera?!

·

Very formal picks, try one more vivid chronograph...

·

Nomos Club or Metro, bracelets and colors to choose from 👍

Stay away from PP, AP, Blancpain, Moser etcetera you should be ok, lol! Longines and Baume&Mercier have some, Montblanc less popular but usually can find decent ones on grey market discounted.

Nice one! Whats the diameter on this?

42mm. Bigger than I would’ve expected.

·

I have a similar collection. BB58 and a Cartier. My next pick up is this DateJust. But since your wrist can probably handle it, 41mm is probably better. Either way, definitely a blue dial!

A blue dial.

Skipper to keep it weird

Lovely watch! Love the dial😍I like having watches for different use, so what would you say this one would for? Im thinking then maybe my santos would work as the dress watch (w leather strap) and this datejust for casual business attire

It’s really up to you. I plan to wear the DateJust with everything. I wear my vintage Patek at work and with a t-shirt and jeans.
