3 is enough

One you can travel with, bump into stuff and swim with. One you can use on a daily basis in a smart casual / business setting - but also with a suit if you slap on a leather strap. And one fun chronograph to time your lazy sunday reading sessions or drives.

Could not agree more with you. Great combo. Classic, sporty and refined

Absolutely! However Im considering a black bay 54 as a replacement for my sportswatch. Its more refined and my type of style. In that case this would be used as my pure travel watch :)

Well done! I'm stuck at 6... aspiring to be at 3!

Thanks! What makes you stuck? Im fighting the urge to go from 3-6 because I feel like I should have a GMT, an all gold watch and 1 high horology (perp. calendar w/ moonface or similar)… its hard haha🤣

I think it's a Seagull?

3 is enough?! Must be a typo. I think you forgot some zeros after that 3.

·

Two tone santos is so underrated. Excellent choice

Thanks! Very happy with it. Bought it 3 years ago and for some strange reason I love it more now than when I got it…

Mine either.

That would be my selection. AR. I am not a fan of two tone watches, the Santos, I feel the gold is gaudy. That is just me though.

I am envious of your restraint. #lifegoals

Yeah, It gets hard if you attach sentiment to all watches you bought… im still early in collecting so maybe I change my mind. But I will put away the TAG (my first watch) and keep it for my future kids, and swap it out with a Tudor BB54. And then maybe sell the seagull to get something like the Zenith El Primero I saw on your profile😍

But always 3 watches for me. Dont want more.

Very smart way of looking at it. I hope to one day pare my collection down from 16 to maybe 6, but I want to experience some more before I start cutting back. Cant see myself ever getting rid of the Zenith though, thanks for the comment!

6 is a more realistic numer for watch enthusiasts. I’ll probably end up there one day. But then I have 3 watches to look forward to. Dont need them now😎

I always tell myself that 6 watches would be enough, but then again I never listen. My excuse is that i'm still looking for that perfect 6.

Anyway, the intended 6 would be a Diver for that water related/wet days, a Dress/Avant Garde watch for dinners n special occasions, a Pilot/Chronograph for those sport related occasions like ball games or race days, a GMT/World Time for Travels, a Sport/Field (100m WR) watch as daily banger and a Digital/Sports like G-shock or Apple Watch for Gym & Exercise.

·

One Casio Edifice would serve all those functions.

·

Absolutely love the cartier santos

Nice! It only has to make sense to you. And this is something I might grow into aswell. I’ll admit I have a casio f91 aswell for excercising

Absolutely love the cartier santos

Its soo good. Its amazing how sporty yet classy it is. For occasions that require suits, I put it on a black aligator strap and it completely changes into a dresswatch

Very good choice, I own two of your watches 😉
