Damn you, Christopher Ward

When I picked up my Explorer last November I tried on the ADs exhibition white Explorer II. While I loved the design and dial of that watch I didn't l...

You have chosen wisely, for while the true grail will bring you life, the false grail will take it from you.

I've been thinking about that exact same combination to complement my Explorer, might just need to visit the AD and start the wait after seeing that.

They have just released it in 38mm, I doubt if they will go smaller but I would be happy if they prove me wrong.

I think it wears true to 39mm. I have 39mm Laco Fliegers and they wear bigger due to the lack of any real bezel and having a taller profile and a less refined case design. I suppose it depends on your tastes, personally I prefer watches in the 36-38mm range, 39 is my absolute limit and even then the lugs need to be not too long - I tried on a 39mm Longines Spirit Zulu Time before I bought the CW but the lugs on that were far too long. I'm not sure this will have helped your decision, but if buying new you get 60 days to change your mind.

Great collection. I wouldn't be selling a Sub to buy a Defy Skyline but you are not me.

Filling an Explorer shaped hole
