๐๐ Dive into the abyss with #TechTuesday as we explore the incredible engineering behind ultra-deep diving watches. These marvels of horology are not only built to withstand the immense pressures found thousands of meters below the sea but also excel in precision and reliability under the most extreme conditions.
Inspired by recent advancements, these watches use state-of-the-art materials and innovative sealing techniques to achieve unprecedented water-resistance levels.

I'm fascinated, this is amazing craftsmanship. Nevertheless, I prefer to be careful with my watch (Diver, WR 200m) that it doesn't get wet when I wash my hands.

I know for a fact mine can go to the sea floor at any depth now whether it implodes or not is a different question but it'll sink for sure ๐
Not deep enough to make that anything but a very expensive display piece. ๐๐คฃ
Surly this counts as a weight as well and does it come with a belt ๐
Real life photo? /snark ๐
I doubt that supple NATO can support the girthy mass of that unit.
Love the ultra deep it's on my short list
Isn't the real question, how deep do YOU want to go?
Real life photo? /snark ๐
Real photo. Omega made this watch and connected it to a submersible

I hope not!
The kitchen sink.
Deeper than I can - or ever will go. โป
TBH, I'd rather my divers 'only' have 100m WR if it meant they were a millimetre or two slimmer.
I respect the tech and engineering behind watches with high levels of WR but wouldn't buy / wear one any more than I'd drive a Monster Truck around town, for more or less the same reasons.
If my watches have a water resistance that exceeds 1foot, then they're more waterproof than I'll ever need!
My own vers.
My son started diving recently and I was surprised to find out that he has been using a 10+ year old G-shock. I had changed the battery at least once and did not replaced the case back seal. I think heโs only going down about 100 feet, but Iโm kind of surprised it hasnโt leaked.
Was this chat GPTโs idea of rugged deep sea watch?
My watch can go deeper than your watche ๐คช

Itโs a real omega watch they made
My deepest is my Epoch Deep Diver.
Not an ultra deep in any way with 1000m of wr but itโs not too thick either.
This one is just good to 1200m, which is 1997m of overkill for me. Interesting engineering for sure, don't expect anything less from Omega, but there's got to be a point where the trade off between tech and wearability goes to far.
Cronos dive watch 1000m survive 3000m. Cronos now came out with 300bar watch without a date window.

What watch is that?

G-shock survive 3000 meters test. Crystal broken tho. If g-shock have thick sapphire it would probably can go deeper.
