Lots of similar brands are also available. We had them in the UK as Constant, the bezels were different initially but then ended up like the normal diver one. The only one which was still selling into earlier this century was the black one.

I had the two-tone gold version and had no idea at the time what a Seiko Arnie even was.

Buy the watch you remember fondly. An Arnie can wait.

I find there's no true replacement for the watch in your heart. Get the knock off original ;-).

"you can never go home again"

Get a modern equilivent of it as the vintage pieces are either dead or headed that way.

One cannot stress this enough.

I think you would need to consider the actual module in the Celsius-9, and prevalence. Vintage mechanicals are one thing, vintage quartz and digital is another circle of Hell.

Then again, you will do what you will want to do.

I can vouch for the Celsius 9, I bought one about a year ago and I love it to bits

You will feel so much more reconnected if you buy the watch you had. I substituted with a Lego set I had as a kid and I still want the original, which I will be buying in the near future I think
