I will be traveling to Washington, DC. Anyone have a recommendation on a cool watch shop to visit? Vintage and new tool watches are of particular interest. Will be staying near the mall without a car.
There are a few boutiques around; check out Tysons Corner and Pentagon City (take the metro). If you want used, I really only know of Arlington Watch Works that has some pre-owned.
Now that you mention it that does sound familiar more recently. I recall from earlier interviews the watch business was incidental to the original reason to being in the DC area. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Matt Farrah’s gushing love of Seiko’s helped the business demand a more hands-on West Coast presence.
My first was a Casio calculator. My last will be a Pepsi GMT Master II. Tool watches help me maintain the illusion that watches are not jewelry. SKX modder.

Torneau at Pentagon City is an easy one to hit from DC

Murad & Co at Tyson’s Corner is great! Arlington Watch Works is great too. They usually have some real nice vintage stuff in stock.
Right downtown near Farragut Square is Tiny Jewel box, which has Tudor, Cartier, IWC, Rolex, Patek, JLC.

Two doors down is a new Omega Boutique
