I’ve never been this conflicted.
I have been going back and forth with these two for about a year now and can’t seem to make a decision. I’ve tried on the Murph but not the TiCTAC. As far as looks go, which do you prefer?

Murph for heritage and beautiful numerals
I went for the Hamilton.
I love Seiko but too many of their new releases are way overpriced for what they are, that one is a great example.
I'd go murph mainly because the dimensions are much more wearable at 38mm
I like the Seiko! But gotta go Murph.

I voted Murph - and have one that I wear to death - but do have to say the seiko is very nice. But like others, I’d lean Murph on sizing, heritage, strap versatility etc…and then go on the hunt for a Grand Seiko!
I was down to the same 2, and I went with the Murph because of the size and the newly available Oyster bracelet from UncleStraps.
What’s ref on the TicTac. I like the look. Same as I do the Murph.
I've been considering a Murph 42mm
get the Murph and pass it down to your kids like in the movie. Also, Hamilton is an American brand; if you are a true patriot, you should get it. Caus 'merica F-k YEA!!!
More serious note: I have a Hamilton watch and I LOVE IT!!! I'm currently boycotting Seiko.
For less than the Murph you can get the Pioneer.
The tictac has really poor lume, maybe worse than the Hamilton.
The Murph is going to be much better finished and specd than the seiko.

But if it indeed has a mineral crystal, then there's no competition really.
But I'll throw in another suggestion: Seiko spb159 baby Alpinist. Very similar to the Murph: cathedral hands, 70hrs PR (murph has 80), very similar colours overall, similar dimensions. The Seiko is a little bit cheaper, the movement is probably a bit worse, Seiko has AR coating, Murph does not.
