Still not sure if it’s the best idea but I did it 💸

It’s totally irresponsible … “mad” one might say -badum tss- … heck, I am not even sure if this thing is actually wearable. But it’s fun.

Damn… what do I do now?

Didn’t expect to have a lucky draw for this one. And I wanted to sell a piece or two rather than buy a new one. But this M.A.D.1 in green looks really...

Without a doubt my favorite, most worn watch since I got it in May last year. It’s not exactly a “GADA” watch but a watch for any occasion. Especially with my grey nubuk strap from delugs. Haven’t changed the strap back to the black shell cordovan strap with which it came since I got it.

This is the watch that fits my wrist absolutely perfectly and hits all the right marks for me.

I want to keep this one until the day I die.

I hope it will be able to tell a lot of stories someday.

It all boils down to the enjoyment we get out of our watches.

For me at my current age and money level I tend to enjoy watches around 1-2k and under a lot more than my most expensive piece (my GS).

It’s a lot more carefree and joyful to wear my Nomos than the GS for example.

And my Seiko5Just is the same. I put it on and can forget about it, than look at it and smile.

With my GS it’s somehow different. Every scratch hurts for example.

Maybe it is too expensive for my current taste idk.

The Nomos is perfect for any occasion. Understated, classy not flashy.

I am getting that FOMO already 😅

I dare saying that the submariner is the non-enthusiasts adult money watch.

I see them a lot in Germany. A good amount are bad fakes, some good ones and in places where people have money it is everywhere.

I went to Sylt for a week a few years back and every second guy walking by had a submariner on his wrist, no joke.

My own perception but it’s one of range watches I see the most in the wild. And I personally find it boring af.

My watch enthusiast friends are buying other things. Except for my brother, who’s a Rolex fanboy. He’s got the plain jane sub date and a bluesy.

Thanks, pal. But that seiko5 is quite expensive these days 😉 and the Delugs strap is on my Tangente. I just put the original Nomos strap into the delugs sleeve. I have the light grey nubuck slim strap which costs around 95 usd. Around the same price tag as the seiko5 when it came out.

Nowadays it’s around 350-400 usd because it’s discontinued.

Just to put everything in perspective 😄
