Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My father was an avid collector of pocket watches but my older brother sparked my love for watches when he gifted me a festina watch for my 18th birthday. Before that, I didn’t even think about buying a watch over 100 bucks.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
First watch I ever owned was a Swatch, first one I ever bought a Festina Chrono Bike.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Impulse buying doesn’t pay off in the long run and saving up for a more expensive watch you really want is much better than satisfying the itch with something similar but cheaper.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Gotten into Grand Seiko and Longines lately.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I recently acquired my current grail, a Grand Seiko Spring Drive, because it revolutionized modern watch making in my opinion. Ultimate grail: an A Lange & Soehne because it’s the pinnacle of German watch making which I adore maybe even more than Swiss and Japanese.
