ANOTHER Hodinkee X Longines

i know i know another one right

Image

but I'm genuinely excited for this one. Longines has been knocking it out of the park in the last couple of releases, *at least in my opinion. and based on their previous colab, the sector dial is might be the best Hodinkee collaboration (might be biased because ive owned it)

Image

But what do you think lads, excited or we're just super bored with ANOTHER colab? And what do you think it will be? The heritage line? Spirit maybe?

Lol i know right! 😂might be a nother banger tho fingers crossed 🤞

·

I think it looks worse than what they already do with the heritage and master collection and you know it will be more expensive.

·

I really liked the last Longines collab and have contemplated getting one off the Bay. Looking forward to seeing what they putting out next. Everyone seems to love to hate on the Dink lately - the internet is a wild place, haha. But maybe it means it won’t be difficult to score one if it ends up being really limited. 👍

The more expensive is always a guarantee with any other collab isn't? would be great if they could do a smaller version of the heritage line that would be the dream!

I'm not excited but I'm not disinterested either.

... and it's only the LE Longines part (not the X Hodinkee part) that has me interested at all!

As you rightly say - Longines haven’t been fuckin' about of late.

I'd hazard a guess at some sort of LLD in 39mm - given its recent release and the positive welcome it's been given ... though to be honest I'm not sure what the Hodinkee (and Longines) teams could do to improve it. So if it is the LLD 39 there'll most likely be a pop of colour somewhere to differentiate it from all the other LLD 39's and not much more!

The only other ref that springs to mind is the Avi Big-Eye - but why a 'X Hodinkee' release of that now?

I think it's worth saying; since Matthias Breschan came on board in 2020 making noise about focusing on the brands heritage moving forward things have really made an uptick. And if I was a betting man I'd say there's some more crackin' releases from Longines in the pipeline.

Nice man! And great insight comment i didnt know about that! Yeah LLD 39 in different colourway or simpler layout somehow that would be fire for sure!

And its using goldberger again the photo promo tho i might think it could be a dressier watch of some sort 🤔🤔

Yeah. That makes sense if Goldburger is involved - even tangentially.

I actually hope it is something more than a pimped LLD - a classic 3 hander from the Longines archives would be sensational, especially if its a military watch. Could also be a dateless steel Spirit that leans into a vintage vibe? That'd be a 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 'Hodinkee' release.

I'm expecting to like it, whatever it is.

Do you know when its being unveiled?

·

I think these collabs are how Hodinkee is paying the bills these days. I know the fashion articles aren’t! With that being said, Longines is my favorite Swiss brand, so I’ll probably end up really liking it.

Oh yes, that would've been perfection 👌military longines in 36mm case or no date spirit is the dream! Man you got me even more hype up here! 🤣 probably going to be something shitty then 🙈

Yes, it will be unveiled 5th of dec

Fashion article can only got you so far 🤣 nice! Hopefully something nice to close the year! 🤞

Not a big fan of Hodinkee anymore but, that last collab Sector dial is a super good looking piece!

·

I am whelmed. Longines doesn't do anything for me so it's hard to get excited.

Interesting, this might be the one for you bro 🤣 although I wouldn't bet on it🙈🙈

·

Hi there, something tells me it will be a Spirit 👍

·

I'd like to see any of Longines' Heritage models that were re-released in the past ~10 years but slimmed down to the 38.5mm size they've settled on lately (or smaller). The designs are uniformly gorgeous they're just too damn big at 40mm+.

Spirit Zulu Time Limited Edition For Hodinkee is out !!!

·

Here is a perfect colab Longines with Long jeans!😝

·

I really like the Zulu Time release, and it’s a crazy good deal considering it’s a full grade 5 titanium watch. If I hadn’t just bought a new Omega and a Zenith I would’ve ordered one.

I like it better than the BB Pro, but unfortunately BB Pro released it first so it looks like Longines just copied it
