I would vote Christopher Ward, but I would argue that CW is more of an independent at this point based on volume, variety and manufacturing capability.
Honorable mentions for me would also include Serica, Horage, Monta, Maen, Traska and Formex
I don't really think CW is a microbrand any longer. More of an independent. They have original designs and a quite the catalog now. They have moved on from Micro.
Farer has some really nice options for the price. I think they are even nicer then Baltic at a lower pricepoint. Also notbyrying to repeat everyone else but Christopher Ward is past the microbrand production stage. I also don't recommend Christopher Ward because they almost always put you on a waiting list.

I agree Christopher Ward has made great strides with there catalog. Farer for me is the choice as well.
