For me the Speedtimer wins easily because you can change the strap and therefore the whole look of the watch

This one is also very nice indeed ๐คฉ๐

For sure, this is a very important point. ๐ฏ

A Panda, a chronograph and a Diver - this should be heaven ๐๐
I like the look of the Citizen with that duller titanium look and dial. Shame it cannot swap straps like others have pointed out. Like the internal bezel as well, makes it look a little different to the other daytona and seiko look alikes
the Citizen gives me VC Overseas vibes, i like it
but 42,5mm is a challenge, have to try it on

VC Overseas Chronograph Vibes - wow, that is a huge honor!! ๐ฅ

There are almost no lugs, so it should be very wearable. I hope ๐ ๐
I hate that you can see the electronics behind the sub dials on the seiko and until they fix this i will go with a citizen every day ๐

Wow - you are right. ๐
I had never such a close look ๐
I own the Seiko and love it. Also, nobody I know paid retail for the Seiko. I payed far less. Not sure if it is the same situation for the Citizen. Seiko takes straps too.
Citizen dial is nicer though.
I am the minority who voted for the citizen. If its panda you crave, there are so many good looking ones. Consider the Orient Neo Panda or the Timex Marlin Panda or the Bulova Lunar Pilot Blue Panda. The seiko is overhyped and way too expensive. I suggest you try it on at a store. It feels and looks tiny for a 39mm. I don't get why but it does.
Iโm a dial person and so I prefer Citizen. And if Iโm not mistaken Citizenโs solar tech is better than Seikoโs.

You mentioned a few very interesting alternatives. The timex Marlin is already on my list. ๐ฅ
Wait. I'm on their list. ๐ง๐ค

I can't say if the solar tech is better or not.
But I know for sure, that my 20 years old Citizen eco-drive still runs quite well. ๐ช๐คฉ

I really like it. It doesn't seem too 'small' ๐๐

This was my choice when shopping for a Panda. No regrets.
Just wish both would use a traditional 12hr sub dial instead of that useless 24 one.

A complication like this, would be my favorite one.

39mm is a great size, I don't care for the new larger 41mm despite the better dial layout and improved lume
Love the solar aspect of the Citizen.
Seiko for the win. I consider mine jewelry and am changing straps about every other month.

Thatโs one of the reasons I sold my speedtimer, the purpleish sub dials spoiled the watch. Also the date is too deep set and small and the 24hour dial pretty useless.
