The 36mm field models have been out since February. The smaller models aren't released in the North American market yet officially but available everywhere else.

Just picked it up from my local Seiko AD. I’d visit them for one if I were you. It’s a really good watch for half the price of a khaki field. In my opinion, looks better too.
Since I bought the Explorer 36mm it has become my go to size for watches. Wore the Black Bay Steel (the old one with the chunky 41mm case) since 2018 and never thought it was big. But now every time I wear it, it feels like a brick on my wrist.
36mm is a great size. Land, Sea, Air.
