Hello everyone, two days ago I walked through the city with my wife. We went into an AD of multiple brands with the intention to try on a Tissot PRX 3...

I engraved only one watch. It's my Santos Two Tone. And it's the watch I bought in Gran Canaria on our honeymoon trip. This watch is definitely not for sale unless I'm struggling hunger and thirst. That's why I'm very happy I engraved it and absolutely don't care whether it`s worth less now.

You're the second one recommending me not to wait for too long. The more I think about it, the more I think I should speed things up a little! Probably this weekend, I will definitely think about it.

I don't think I'm able to wait that long anyway. But a few days is okay. When I tell her "I have present for you" she will probably know what it is. But in a week she might not think about it that much. Well, I hope so 😁
It’s a 1:1 copy of her husbands channel Watchvice. He makes the videos in German and she in English. Mostly same topics, barely different pictures - from what I’ve seen. Same watches for reviews etc.
They’re smart. His channel is going strong in Germany and she basically does the same stuff for all the non-German-people.
Nevertheless: I like both of them but both of them also use the word „Rolex“ to gain clicks and it’s very obvious at this point. They will compare anything and everything to Rolex. In almost every title. In almost every video they mention them. That’s one of the reasons I don’t watch them often.
I like the brand a lot and I also own a Rolex but that’s just too much.
My Santos doesn’t have a screw down crown but it has 100m of WR and survived beach very well.
Conclusion: It isn’t necessary per se but it’s much less likely to open when there is a thread holding it to the case. Had a weird feeling the whole time. But it’s alive!
Since I bought the Explorer 36mm it has become my go to size for watches. Wore the Black Bay Steel (the old one with the chunky 41mm case) since 2018 and never thought it was big. But now every time I wear it, it feels like a brick on my wrist.
