I would like to thank all of you fellow Crunchers for the help and suggestions. I really appreciate it. This incident helped me learn a lot and think deeply on a couple of things. The issue is now resolved. We reach an agreement with the buyer after some back and forth an a couple of offers to resolve the issue from my side.
I just wanted ro clarify that the incident did not happen to Ebay, rather in Ebay-Kleinanzeigen which exists in Germany and Austria (I am not sure if it is also available in other nearby german speaking countries). It works a bit differently to ebay, putting way more focus on private-private exchanges and also the evaluation system works differently. Does not have numerical scores and there is a common set of attributes to summarize a score of a participant both as a buyer and seller. Anyway, bottom line is that 1) I should have never offered the option of a normal paypal transacation rather than friends and family. 2) I should have been wqy more detailed in my description avoiding inaccuracies, 3) I will think twice again in engaging both as a buyer and a seller to the vintage/old watch field which has been discribed by a lot of people in the community and by famous watch youtubers/influencers as a minefield.
Moving forward and enjoy the hobby. 💪🤞😊
I have the same albeit the 35mm version cause I have a small wrist size and I thought it suited me better. Should have gone for the bigger one. For sure beatifull dial but typical german overenginnering. And I am half German working nd living maybe in one of the few places on earth where the Calendar week is used.. Still one of the most useless complications in a watch which already has another useless complication (however beautiful) like the moon phase.
