Down the Tudor rabbit hole?

Sometimes I wonder wether or not I should have combined my savings and got a JLC or Paneri.

Not if Tudor is really what you liked and wanted. I think we can all play the game of "what if". If you look back at your collecting journey and find that your strategy wasn't sound, etc., that's a very different thing.

I purchased a Panerai and a CyS as birthday watches in Agust in 2023. I could have picked up a Rolex but that's not what I was in the market for...

Enjoy your Tudors and don't give it a second thought. Appreciate them daily, they look great 🔥.

I would not regret a thing…you have some great pieces…and that FXD is a stunner

I’ve had Pan and JLC I was not impressed. I now have 3 Tudors.

·

Hell no that's an awesome collection you've got there

Difficult to say. I don’t necessarily think JLC or Panerai are that much of a jump in quality vs Tudor, in fact in many aspects the Tudor wins out in my opinion. If you had said Rolex then yes they are 100% a superior watch but also obviously comes with a higher price tag AND perhaps more baggage emotionally as well. Tudor hits the sweet spot for sure.

I am saving for a Sub Date at the moment...

I think Tudor watches are great. Unless you fall out of love for any of your watches, I would not change. Your FXD looks AMAZING!!! Enjoy your Tudors🍻.

·

Yes, the Tudor rabbit hole. I fell into that one myself. No regrets.

·

Can you really be content with just one Panerai or JLC? We are on this site because we're irrational and obsessive. Enjoy your Tudors. Whenever, if ever, you're bored of them, sell them and buy your Panerai or JLC.

·

Tudor are on fire at the moment and have so many great models. I think you made the right choice 👌. My favourite line of theirs is the FXD 🔥

Jlc is objectively a significant upgrade in finishing and in movement finishing.

·

You got three beauties for the price of one potential beauty, I call that a win

·

I’d rather have your Tudors than the alternatives here.

·

I think Tudor is a great watch company. I wish I could afford them. I would not complain about have a few of their watches.

·

Nah. Great choices. Now just save for the JLC and Panerai. Since your watches are tool watches, I would save for the JLC first.

·

As someone who owns a Panerai and is constantly daydreaming that “i should’ve bought two Tudors instead”, I totally get it! I think it’s about enjoying what you enjoy and those 3 Tudors look 🔥

Not complaining. Just pondering.

if you want to be objective then YeS it is a slight upgrade but hardly that significant. neither brand has any hand finishing to speak of and JlC just has slightly better machine finishing. It’s not such a large jump as the pricing suggest either.

As an owner of a 58 (blue) and a Pro, you made the right decision lol. Enjoy!
