Would you trade these two for a Batgirl/Rootbeer?

If forced to trade, I’d keep the DJ and trade the NTTD & cash for the Batgirl. That way you still have two types of watches. But, that’s just me. As much of an Omega fan as I am, I am quickly falling out of love with the SMP and the Bond variant in particular. The Rolex is just a superior watch in every way.

I wouldn't trade these two. The Datejust works beautifully for daily wear and dressy occasions. While the Seamaster can be a daily as well as a nice watch to wear to the beach or casual. If you have a need for a GMT in your collection and don't want to spend big, get something at the lower end which can be a nice bearer or grab and go.

No, I say that as a Batgirl owner, it is not worth those two watches and NEVER pay over MSRP. Honestly, it is a horrible trade and the cash on top is insult to injury. That is almost $20K of MSRP + cash for a watch a little more than $10K MSRP. After market, $15K ish for $17k leaving a hefty profit for the deal. It just is not worth it.

If you happened to buy those at an AD, you already have a history. The TT Root Beer is relatively easy to get all things considered.

Well, I got a NTTD for a really good price while on vacations (way below retail) in Dubai and I bought the Datejust in February for retail + 1.100 USD. When I said "cash on top" I meant DJ + cash or NTTD + cash, not both +cash of course! Unfortunately I can't put my name on the list for a Batgirl/Pepsi/Rootbeer in Poland, it's almost impossible so I can only look at grey market prices..

Sell your watches privately and buy a GMTII at retail.

My brother wears his batgirl daily and I wear my Datejust. I wouldn’t swap them out, let alone throw in an NTTD as well as money on top!

I think it depends on how much enjoyment you think you’d get from the GMT in comparison to the Datejust + NTTD. I would probably do it since I’m such a big fan of the GMT Master II, and if you really don’t like it, you can always sell it and get back the datejust + NTTD or use it for a different big piece.

Seems like a steep price to pay, in my opinion. I’d keep the two.

No! It's to much to pay. Maybe trading the NTTD and some cash for the root beer. The DJ is a classic 1 watch collection. That needs to stay with you.

I’m sure if you’re patient enough you’ll get the call soon. My AD offered me one a couple of weeks ago but I turned it down, as I’d rather have the Pepsi or Sprite.

Keep the Datejust and add the Batgirl. Then you will have a watch for every occasion.

In London. Yes the registration for GMT Master is closed here as well. But I was on the list already for the Pepsi.

I personally would not as I prefer the Datejust/ SMP over the two variants of Rolex GMT in question.. however this is very subjective. If you want two different GMTs and are not wearing the DJ or the SMP then swap. However if you enjoy wearing your watches I would suggest to wait, save and buy a GMT when possible.
