Every watch you have listed has its own appeal which makes it extremely difficult to choose. Do you currently own other luxury watches? If so, what styles are they? Diver, Chronograph, Dress, All around(GADA)? At this point the way the market is, I would buy whichever one "Speaks" to you most. Neo vintage prices have come down quite a bit. I would also suggest you buy a brand or style that you do not currently own. You cannot go wrong with any of the above. I have a vintage Speedmaster that I recently purchased and after about a month I realized there was an issue with the movement. I had to leave it with Omega for a 2-4 month vacation so just remember to consider service time with vintage or neo vintage. You get the vintage vibe with a new Glassbox and they look incredible!!

I’d been looking at them for a few years and I’ve certainly made purchases in a similar price range but it never seemed like I was connected to the piece when one was available. If I’m on a hunt for a specific watch or style, I am in pursuit mode and other watches that I may desire don’t appeal to me the same way. I got lucky because I wasn’t looking for anything when this opportunity presented itself. And I was able to purchase this one, just about brand new, for about 40% off of retail. It was only a few months old and the warranty, while activated, wasn’t registered to anyone. The bonus is that my wife actually loves it.

I usually take one, maybe two, of my front of the box watches, a G Shock and something nicer that I wouldn’t lose my mind if it was stolen or lost. You have an awesome selection to choose from. Love the variety. Your tastes are very similar to mine.

commented on Looking to get a German Watch ·

I just bought my first German watch which was a Glashuette-Original Panomaticlunar. While it is a typical German styled watch, it’s not the industrial designed one you are looking for. I like the Sinn 556 or any of the brands everyone is recommending. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with a Sinn, Stova, Muhle, Union or a Nomos. Nomos is a supreme value for the money watch. I have to agree that their under 2k watches are underwhelming. I would definitely check out watchbuys. They will have exactly what you are looking for.

I love your collection. The watches are amazing but the stories of each one make them even better. I have a large collection but I have about 10 watches that I would never get rid of because of the stories behind them. I was planning on doing a post exactly like yours, and now I am definitely going to do it, so thank you for showing us your watches and sharing your stories.

Funny thing is I met someone who is a part time watch dealer and he got me the 2 Panerai. The other day he told me he had a real special one for me. Only made 150 of them. I knew what he was going to send me and lo and behold he sent pictures of the Liberty!! I sent him back a picture of the Liberty on my wrist. He said I should have known you already had it.

I wear the Submariner almost every day. I own a bagel bakery and it’s the only one I don’t worry about banging around. It’s a true tool watch. I also wear the blue Panerai quite a bit. The others I switch around when I go out or on vacation. The Panerai chronograph I just received the other day. My collection is all over the place but each one that I have has a story or a connection that makes my collection make sense to me.
