The perpetual calendar's little sibling, the annual calendar is not only vastly newer (born in the 1990s) but also much easier to operate.

Any my 2022 Kurono Tokyo Calendier Type I Annual Calendar.

I keep my calendars on a watch winder. I really like Calendars with chronograph complication, the Zenith is one of my favorite. I have my eyes set on the JLC Polaris perpetual calendar.. may be some day when I can afford it.

Could you imagine if it was possible to build a mechanical movement that could account for leap years as well?  You may never have to set it a second time.

@celinesimon, you are single handedly dragging my watch knowledge up from absolute zero to some who actually knows a little bit. Thank you! 👏 You need a badge for this 😁

Beautiful watches.  While I can't reall afford anything at the moment (such is life) the Kurono is not at an impossible price point, like  I imagined.  I'd never heard of the watch brand.  Thank you.

D'oh, it's sold out.

Another great article! The annual calendar in my watch list is PP5325 in either white or yellow gold. But after I read your article, 5396R-015 is in the list too😅 It’ll probably stay in my list for many years 😂
