Great article! ❤️I enjoyed reading it as usual!
Thanks for sharing🙏, love the history part.

My favorite is Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Perpetual Calendar for its legibility, but it is a compromise on size. At 30k this JLC is great value ( but for most of us its a car payment ). I keep all my calendars on a winder, the perpetual calendar must be put on a winder for its lifetime because setting it is a pain. Apparently JLC has a quick set feature and makes it easy to set the calendar, this is cool!

Yes, the history of these super complex complications is always fun to dig into because it's never about one person/company - it's a collective effort that pushes things along :)

Agreed, a winder is a must-have with a perpetual calendar. Also agree that the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Perpetual Calendar is an awesome option - anytime a perpetual calendar is offered in steel is a good thing in my book!
Doesn’t get much more perpetual than the one on my eco-drive. No winder needed, 20 plus years, and only had to be risen from its apparent demise twice with some sunbathing.
