Hello friends!

I'm back with a new guide, this time about Cartier. This article gives a general overview of popular (and current) Cartier watch collections -- sprinkled with a tiny bit of history but mostly focused defining design characteristics.

Hope some of you find it useful!  I'm always open to feedback.

You’re hardly a simpleton! But thank you 🙏🏻

I love reading your guides Celine ❤️

Beautifully written and clear as always 👏

I think the Drive/Roadster is my favourite after the classic Tank. I love how the cyclops extends to the case. 😍

Wonderful guide, well written and illustrated.  Great fabrication of stories that only we know never happened.  I was so happy to see that you included the Cartier Crash.

Thanks @Deeperblue! I love the Roadster too. Apparently, that cyclops was intended to mimic the curved glass windshields of cars from the 1950s and 1960s.

I'm finding myself more and more attracted to the Cartier Panthere these days; the bracelet is just sublime.

The Crash is a legend! And yes, Cartier is great at storytelling 😉

Thank you for reading and commenting 🙏

Great overview. Cartier is a brand I admired for a long time but haven’t managed to actually buy one yet. The tank lost my vote for a Reverso. The Santos is still on the prospect list but I seem to be between sizes since I can’t decide between medium or large. Maybe the Drive is the answer. Your included picture of it looked great.

I've never understood why the Drive isn't more popular than it is. It's such a great design, in my opinion. I suppose it's also because Cartier doesn't push it as much as the Tank/Santos/Pasha.

My guess is that the Drive is to bland compared to it’s more iconic siblings. Still great looking though.

Agree with @WatchYourIntruder about the Drive here. Your article might be the first time I’ve read about it. I usually stalk Santos pictures and dream about owning a shiny bezel I wouldn’t be terrified of scratching.

Small seconds + date Drive looks really cool.
