NWA Pt. 1! VSA Alliance!
I was stuck in #1WC hell so I couldn't post jack-diddle about any new watch that I'd receive during the challenge, but NOW I CAN!:D
As already stated, this is the Victorniox Alliance 241869. This watched stumbled into my feed from one of the watch accounts that I follow on Instagram. The user was highlighting the sale that the watch was on and I seriously could not pass it up. It went from $775 to $275 (it was the one with the bracelet)
I also couldn't believe that the brand was Victorinox. I was never a fan of the brand. The watches were either too bulky or they were of a quartz movement (I'm picky about those) or the dial was ugly. But then came this watch.
It's one thing to look at photos and videos of it, but it's a whole other thing when you look at it in person. This thing is DUMMY shiny. I wasn't entirely feeling it with the bracelet on, so when I changed it into a black leather strap, my doubts and hesitations immediately subsibed. This thing is a LOOKER. With the bracelet on, I wasn't able to really appreciate what the watch was offering. With a leather strap on, not only does it make the case, crown, hour markers and hands stand out, but the dial stands out as well. It's got this.....asphalt-kind-of texture going on and it's lovely.
I didn't know it'd be this brand, but this was the black-dial dress watch that I was looking for.
What are your thoughts with Victorinox? Love them? Hate them? Respect them but not your cup of tea?
