Damn it, Seiko. You did it again.

As of late....I've obtained a lot of watches. Got the Victorinox piece because of a fat deal, best friend got me the Brew Metric PVD Black model, I've got the Belhamel Contra coming later in the year....and now there's this.

This is the brand-new Seiko SPB357. This dial is deadass like looking at the ocean from the distance. For the bezel insert, a quarter of it is light grey and the rest is a dark grey, which compliments the dial very well. And then the second hand having a red tip? That's classy. The watch sits at a diamate of 43.5 mm, power reserve is up to 70 hours, and this baby is all titaniummmmm. Love it. Here for it.

I'm so enamored by the blue dial. In my opinion, this model is an enhanced version of the Samurai model that we know. The hour markers are well rounded and more uniform with one another, the hour and minute hand are slimmer but longer, and the case and bezel aren't as angular as the regular Samurai.

I'm nowhere near ready to acquire this piece, but once I am, I'm def going to post about it. Hell, it may even replace my Seiko SRPF77.

What're your thoughts?

Looks beautiful, I like the green variant.

Possibly too big for me, would like to see them in person.

That's a very cool-looking watch!

I like the case shape and the indices and hands, but I don't like the texture of the dial. Also, I don't like the shape of the bracelet links and that they are made of a single piece, they don't seem to provide much play (they remind me of my Seiko Arctura bracelet links).

There's not much - to not like - about this watch.
