Logo Redesign - WatchCrunch and SpeedyTuesday Concept
This was a fun little concept. I‘ve been brainstorming logo redesigns for the Crunch since I started tackling some of these design exercises.
For the redesign I wanted to tie into/retain the original logo, while also introducing this idea of a mark constructed by a series of pieces much like a watch movement… or a community made up of its members that revolves around a shared interest (hint, it’s watches).
For the mockup, I had considered showcasing it on some traditional swag (shirts, buttons, beer koozies) but then Max recently prompted the SpeedyTuesday concept. Rather than starting with the Moonwatch, I opted to use the recently released 57 edition. This Enthusiast Edition features a matte gray dial with tasteful pops of WatchCrunch green. The new logo would be subtly shown on the left sub-dial. Finally, rather than a leather strap this watch would use a sailcloth strap with contrast stitching.
Coffee drinker, dog enthusiast, and wearer of boring watches.

@bevelwerks , and thought on the WC logo, is there a way to reverse the negative space so that it looks like the watch hands are at the traditional 10 and 2 rather than 8 and 4?

Thank you! Those “hands” make up the inner parts of the W… if I reversed them you’d get a ”M”… for MaxCrunch 😂

Not ‘reversed’ as in flipped upside down but rather invert the color to switch the white for the green. Probably would then need a contrasting background color then… similar to the issue with inverting the colors on your cool Islander logo mockup.
Looks more crisp than the original ’57 IMO.

Thanks man - yeah the green circle is pretty generic but guess it works for them. Check the feed for Islander - it’s been done 😂
