AP or Rolex? Or should I say Royal Oak Chrono or Daytona? I chose the 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭

Those that follow my posts know I love both AP and Rolex. I was tossing up between the yellow gold Daytona with green dial “John Meyer”💚💛 but ended up going with the AP Royal Oak Chrono 26320OR with black "Grande Tapisserie"dial 🖤💛 Some might not agree with my choice…. But I LOVE the AP🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭 I think the overall design and aesthetics of the AP did it for me #audemarspiguet #audemarspiguetroyaloak

Both are immaculate! Perfection!

In the words of a certain television character...."Why not both and damn the consequences!"

I think you went with the right choice

Totally agree with your choice. That Daytona is just hype for snobbish people

Thank you 🖤💛

In situations such as this you need a haruspex. It is the only way.

It might be hype, but still looks good😁

True, it's beautiful... but "who is John Mayer?" 😮‍💨

Top choices either way. As you know, I’m a Daytona guy, but I have been checking out the 38 mm AP Royal Oak chronographs as they fit my wrist size a little better. I saw a 50th anniversary preowned one this past weekend in Nashville where I got my GO, but they were asking a bit too much for it- in my opinion. I’m hoping this next year has a continuing downward trend on the secondary market for these hype pieces.

You won’t be disappointed with an AP Chrono. They do wear larger than the Daytona but at the same time the gold versions have a more solid feel on the wrist which I like. 38mm is a bit small for my wrist but you can’t go wrong with a Royal Oak🇨🇭🇨🇭

·

AP easily.

·

The AP is 💯!! The Daytona looms old and blah, imo. No offense to anyone that owns that model.

·

I’m biased as an AP owner and Rolex sceptic, so I’m always going to go with the AP…

I too love the AP over my Rolex🇨🇭🇨🇭

On the strength of the pictures alone, the AP is head and shoulders above the Daytona.

A picture is worth 1000 words - and I have to agree the AP is miles ahead on style and aesthetics. It does lose out on reliability but I can live with that given the iconic style of the AP🖤💛🇨🇭

I Would go with the AP. It doesn't have the celebrity tax attached to the "John Mayer".

It’s a unanimous win for the AP😎

·

Would take either, both great and completely out of reach for me, but if I’m living vicariously thru you, yeah def the AP. 😊

I think they'll continue to dip. Wait it out. I quietly started to try some on these days as well. I'm targeting the older 37mm ones or I might go for cleaner dial and hit up the new one.

You got what you like. I think gold watches are gaudy and are a complete turnoff for me. Doubly so for a gold Royal Oak.

·

Not sure why you ask after the purchase, but I prefer the Daytona. I feel the Royal Oak will soon be out of style, whereas the Daytona is a classic looking watch. Just my opinion. Worth 2 cents.

·

Definitely the right call, AP is soooo much superior

Right choice

Hard to think that a watch that’s so iconic will go out of style… but only time will tell

To each their own… but yes there are people that only wear stainless steel… their missing out but that’s my opinion😁

AP Royal Oak Chrono for the win🏆 @anonymouswatchcollector
