White Dials / Peak Elegance?

The longer I’m a part in the watch world the more I came to realization that Clean, well designed and aestetic white dials are the peak of understated elegance. The “Color” white expresses cleanliness and untouchedness with a mysterious presence.

Even if I’m trying to ad some colors in the mix I agree with you. White/silver dials are a beautiful staple.

·

Can't argue with that. Clean white dials are best for dressy watches. Black and blue are close second, tho.

·

As a proud Santos owner, I must agree with you.

I agree and love a white dial done right, I think they can go south pretty quickly. Oddly, I’ve never found the perfect white dial on a watch that I can afford or acquire.

Credor comes to mind. 🥰

I very much agree with this. If you want your watch to portray understated elegance, class & sophistication then a pristine, white uncluttered dial on a classic dress watch hits the spot.

I do also like silver & champagne dials, which I think are a close second to white. Any of these are the perfect companion to a sharp black suit for that special day or evening occasion.

Both of these Grand Seikos are perfection in this;

I Just got my first true white dial watch. Ironically the first watch I purchased for the wife was white. I’ve had some off whites/cream like sarb035 but never white. This is a treat to own and the white is very well suited for daily wear (as is the watch). Cheers

White is clean but often depends on other material / rose gold looks better with a black or darker colour dial I think

A nice, clean, matte white that isn’t trying to be silvery sunburst looks great.

·

Agree. I love the white dial Rolex Explorer II, and I can’t stop thinking about the new white dial Speedmaster moon watch.

·

I have to agree!
