Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Suddenly remembered I'd always wanted a Flieger as a child. Did the research and bought one in December 2023. Then another the following month. Then another the month after that. We're in March and I'm on five with another in the post! Help me.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I'm 61. I don't remember being a child.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Generally, if a watch doesn't have an interesting story in my collection, it's a Casio.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
There's a lot to learn but the tiniest bit of information will always help you make a much better decision.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Glycine is so undersung it takes my breath away. Huge history and innovation. Tutima don't have a watch I like but when they do it's mine! Another historic company.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Don't have one ATM. Very sated with present collection. Breitling would qualify if I didn't have cheaper comparisons that I love dearly. Same with IWC. Not interested in watches that say "I'm rich" or "I'm a cliche". I'm just a bloke.
