A full years collecting.

I started collecting in 2021 this is my collection after about 14 months. The Mido is my best piece, it gets the most wrist time. I'm planning to get another watch before year end either Hamilton or Certina, which way to go?

I say don’t buy another affordable watch.  Instead, start researching and trying luxury watches on and save up for one of those.

I think his MIDO and Tissot are luxury pieces. Swiss Made, well built and from two brands with history.

There is always much debate about where luxury and/or affordable  begins and ends. I don’t think most people would consider Mido or Tissot to be luxury but you are entitled to your opinion.

I get what you are saying 100%. To me I don't care too much about luxury if I don't feel it. Rolex thanks to a trillion homages not my cup of tea. Now when I saw the Hanhart 417es love at first sight I dropped 2k like if I had a billion dollars. My plan was never to spend 1k on a watch until I felt in love with it. So I think is love before price/luxury.

I really hear you on the Hanhart. I swore I would only look at getting one more watch this year max and that it would be affordable (to me, less than $500) but I keep seeing that Hanhart and like you am in love. It's really hard to resist (even after pulling up my retirement account and seeing how much it has dipped recently).

Less than 500 you can get some killer watches! especially in the used market!.  I would not recommend taking money out of retirement. Let me play the lottery maybe I can win and I'll buy you one LOL.  If you like me like pilot watches I can recommend some for 500 down.

Casual/ dress/ field watch missing

Really like this cache. I’d consider the Hamilton since The Seastar/Ocean Star design language is very similar to Certina’s current designs.

No slut shaming here bro. WC is for ALL watches of ALL brands and ALL prices. If @WatchCraig is into Hamilton vs Mido who are you to call him cheap? This isn’t Reddit.

Well this was rather interesting.
