MoonSwatch; Is it a Luxury Watch
Swatch™ is hinting strongly at another MoonSwatch™ release; this time incorporating Peanuts' Snoopy© in some fashion. This would be, I believe, the 17th total MoonSwatch and 6th Special Edition. Correct me if I'm wrong.
So with the new release pending, let's talk about how the MoonSwatch is a Luxury Watch. Why do I say it is a Luxury Watch?

To a high school they are luxury pieces. The Snoopy watches will sell big there. They are only fun Swatch products they market like Pokémon. Gotta catch em all!. Have fun with them but try not to overthink it.

I won't deny they are fun, but they cost too much for fun to be their only positive for me.
They are luxury in the sense that watches in general are not a necessity in this day and age. The fact that a non repairable, completely machine made, plastic watch costs more than $50 I guess makes it luxury.

I don't know if I would call it luxury. I know there are these "definition" but they are all qualitative so they mean nothing to me.
The MoonSwatch does not feel luxurious. Nothing about it does. Same with that trash bag you mention. I think stuff like that needs their own category to differentiate it better from things that may be expensive but actually feel nice and leave a good impression on someone unfamiliar with the thing.
